We decided to only stay one night in Memphis because we only wanted to see Graceland, sun studios and Beale street. First up was Graceland and a tour around Elvis's pad.
Elvis's pad was like a bachelors pad, lots of different rooms for entertaining, dinning and playing pool. I particularly liked the pool room I need one of these rooms. The trophy room was bigger than Alex Ferguson's you can imagine how many trophies he had won. The house in general was smaller than I thought it would be especially the swimming pool although we wasn't allowed upstairs. We finished the tour by looking around Elvis's private jet and is tour plane that was named after his daughter Lisa Marie. Both planes were pretty cool and some of the seatbelts on his tour plane were 24 carrot gold.
Next on the list was Sun Studios where the likes of Elvis, Johnny cash and BB King have recorded. Simon and I walked into Sun Studios took some photos and walked upstairs. Next thing we know we are in the middle of a tour around the studio and we haven't even paid for it oops. We enjoyed the short tour and paid up after.
In the evening we went to beale street a whole street full of bars and live music. the highlight of the evening was when we went into Coyote Ugly, great atmosphere oh and the girls dancing on the bar was rather entertaining. There were some really talented bands I'm glad we ventured out even though we were shattered.
After a 3 hour drive which Simon drove, which was nice of him we were in Nashville. Our first full day in Nashville we decided to do some shopping and hit the bars in the evening.
Nashville has some great bars pretty much all of them with live bands with all types of genres. One of the best bars we went into mainly because of the band was Tequila Cowboy. The Legends bar also had some pretty cool memorabilia so I'm glad we went in there.
