Tennessee Line

"I'll just keep on driving
On my way to L.A.
Looking into the rear view as the roads fade away"

Yet another excruciating drive, done and dusted. The map on the homepage is actually showing some serious progress now, we have put 2,700 miles on the clock so far and have given the car a new dirt coloured paint job. Today it has absolutely tipped it down all day, so the car is actually clean again :D
Anyway... we have entered another new state, actually two, as we stopped in Arkansas to get a Taco Bell for half hour. Tennessee except for a few little cities is pretty much country side and forests, you can drive for hours and see absolutely nothing.

We have spent the last two nights in Memphis. The first night we just chilled in the motel and didn't do anything that is really worth mentioning, we were just shattered from being in the car all day. Day 2 we took a drive down to Graceland, we had a tour of Elvis' home and saw his and his families grave. It's a place I can say, I'm really glad I've been to, his home was quite modern considering it illegibly hasn't been touched "much" since his death just over 35 years ago. I expected the house to be slightly bigger than it actually was, it had 2 floors and a basement, but no one is allowed on to the second floor. Rumour has it, that his big mac is still on the floor in the carzy. We walked around the hall of fame which he had in his own garden, the bloody big head. After that we had a look around his own private planes, they were a bit dated as expected but still I wouldn't say no to one.

In the evening we went to the famous Beale Street, we first went to a bar called Bar 152, they had a live blues band who were really good. Next we went to Coyote Ugly, they played a mix of decent music and had girls dancing on the bar, which is an obvious WIN situation..... apart from the fatty at the end. We then went and watched a band who were playing in the street who were also really good, recorded a video of these guys and the dancers who were dancing to Rollin by Limp Bizkit. I'll try and get these on Youtube at some point.

Today we drove to Nashville, checked into a motel, chilled and this evening, we are going to some more bars to see some live music.
