Nicknamed the mini vegas and it really did live up to that name. We stayed at the Tropicana Hotel/Casino and I have to say it was excellent included in the hotel was bars, restaurants, comedy club, iMAX, gift shops and Hooters. Our favourite place was the sports bar where we enjoyed 40oz Budweiser in a bucket for $6 a pop.
The Boardwalk was pretty cool loads of casinos, bars, restaurants, shops, arcades and a fun fair. I wasn't very lucky to begin with losing on double attack blackjack then on the wheel of fortune and also on my favourite roulette table.
While Simon was losing his money playing poker I decided to hit the sports bar, sat down with my bucket talking to a man called Roosevelt. Roosevelt was from Virginia, we talked for ages about sport, the Queen and travelling. I was trying to teach him some of the rules of cricket which was funny it truly is a complicated game to explain. Simon eventually joined us after winning a few hands then losing, he seemed happy enough though.
My luck finally changed on the wheel of fortune, my favourite number 10 never lets me down. I decided to cash in and quit while i was ahead although I was very tempted.
Walking down the boardwalk in search of a buffet we finally found one. We found a all you can eat buffet in The Resort Casino and it didn't disappoint, it was what we had dreamed of.
Our last night in Atlantic city and we met up With Dan and is girlfriend Linzi, we enjoyed a few beers in the sports bar then moved onto the Irish bar. Dan treated us to dinner which was really good of him. It was good to catch up and reminisce about Vegas.
We picked up our car today we were lucky enough to get an free upgrade, although I'm pretty sure everyone gets this treatment. We were upgraded to a shiny red Dodge Avenger which was pretty cool. Driving was pretty weird at first getting used to their weird rules and driving on the wrong side.
Next up is Washington DC...
